Refinery29.com just named The Factory’s production/retail space in San Francisco on 4th and Harrison St. one of the “Best Store Openings of 2011 So Far!” Check it out!
“Both an actual small-run factory and a retail shop carrying many of the results, this SoMa space was created in order to keep The Factory’s seamstresses in Los Angeles working year-round. Local designers using the services include Apres Collective, Gio Adamme, and Robyn Shore, while The Factory’s eponymous in-house label carries exclusive collaborations between itself and designers such as Esther Han and Zoe Hong.”

Also, we LOVE SFIndieFashion.com! If you haven’t read this blog, you are missing out on the true pulse of the San Francisco’s local fashion industry! Today, they listed the Chain Front Top by The Factory as a “Snap Judgment” shopping must have!

Go hug a tree! Make sure you recycle! Eat ethically grown foods! And make sure your green lifestyle carries over to your fashion sense too! This Earth Day, April 22, show your good side in fashion by splurging on some StyleElevation eco-friendly goods!
There’s so much to shop from at StyleElevation.com that is produced locally or fair trade and from organic, vegan or recycled materials!
Check out our Eco-Friendly section for all fair trade, vegan, and recycled styles by our StyleElevation.com designers. Did you know, using organic materials isn’t the only way to be eco-friendly? Shopping from brands who produce domestically is also a great way to lower the carbon footprint by reducing transportation costs, as well as supporting our local economy!
The Factory, Lorian Lindsay and John S. Brana produce their styles in San Francisco. Althea Harper and Heike Jarick produce their clothing in New York City! Amber Pollard and The Factory produce in Los Angeles.
And our brands who produce overseas do so with the highest standards. Everyday produces fair trade out of Bali. REVEAL produces their 100% recycled or sustainable goods out of their factory in China.
Our brands also donate to great causes when you purchase! REVEAL donates to Project Replant to help reforest America with every sale. The Factory donates their excess fabric each year to schools in Africa so children can have the school uniforms needed to receive their education. Everyday donates to your choice of 5 charities with each sale, including providing fresh drinking water to African impoverished communities or building solar panels to create more green energy!
Happy Earth Day everyone!

When you shop from StyleElevation’s latest brand – The Factory, you are directly supporting the full time employment of talented seamstresses in The Factory’s San Francisco and Los Angeles production studios.
The Factory is the in-house brand of The Evans Group, a production house who has sewn for top brands including Ella Moss, 7 for All Mankind, Splendid, Nicky Hilton, Geren Ford, Society for Rational Dress, our own Heike Jarick, and many more! The Evans Group launched their own line – The Factory, in order to keep their talented staff of sewers and seamstresses (many of whom graduated from SF and LA design schools including FIDM) employed full time, year round!
Also, at the end of each year, The Evans Group donates excess fabric to schools in Africa so children can wear the school uniforms required for attending class and receiving an education.
So! “Where are your clothes made?” Make sure that when you shop, you are supporting brands who produce their clothing and accessories in methods that you agree with!
(In case you are wondering, here is where each of the StyleElevation brands produces their collections:)
Althea Harper – made in New York City
Amber Pollard – made in Los Angeles
Everyday – made Fair Trade in Bali, Indonesia
Heike Jarick – made in New York City and China
